Question about Motorola Mobility HS850 Consumer Headset

MICROPHONE I am having problems with the microphone on this item i can hear the other person, but theycannot hear me, also i cannot use the voice commands on my phone. can anyone help please mike

    I have successfully paired my HS850 with a new blackberry pearl. I cannot initiate voice calling. When I use the phone itself to dial rather than the HS850, I can hear the other person, but they cannot hear me.

    Me too. I'm thinking it's a hardware problem. This unit is about 3 years old.

I hear my own voice when I talk on Logitecs H600 wireless headset


IF you are in Windows 7: -
1. Click "Control Panel" > "Sound" > "Recording"
2. Place cursor over "Microphone - Logitech Wireless Headset Default Device".
3. Right Click and select "Properties"
4. Click the "Listen" Tab
5. Uncheck the "Listen to this device"
6. Click "Apply",. and "OK"
That will eliminate you hearing any nose picked up by the microphone. Others will still be able to hear your voice as long as you have the headset as your default microphone.

Using plantronics cs70 - can hear the incoming audio, but the caller cannot hear anything i am saying. have tried resetting the system, no luck.


If you have the CS70 it has a replaceable voice tube. If this is dirty or clogged with food or sugary drinks, people will not be able to hear you. That can be replaced with another voice tube. If this is a noise-canceling microphone, it is non replaceable, they are not cleanable. On the base of the unit is a microphone adjustment, it might be something that needs to be turned up.

I have a Plantronics C610 headset. The caller can hear me, but I can not hear the caller.


Here are a couple of things you can try. I included the link for the user guide below.

Callers cannot hear me.
• Headset is muted. Press the mute button on headset to unmute the microphone.
• Headset microphone boom aligned incorrectly. Align the headset boom with your mouth.
• The USB adapter is not set as the default Voice device. Use the Voice settings in Windows under Sounds and Voice Devices to select "Plantronics C610/C620" as the voice device.

The microphone no longer works. Don’t know if you can change the Microphone of your headset through some authorized service personnel or not.

Mac computer doesn't hear voice when using rosetta stone


I have windows, so I don't know if this will help, but I found that you have to make sure that the recording device is named "Microphone HS" or something with the word "microphone" in it. For some reason, rosetta stone does not recognize recording devices unless they have the word "microphone" somewhere in their name.... This is true for windows, I don't know if this is true in Mac. At least this may point you in the right direction. :)

Transmit volume adjustment
Adjust the volume of transmitted sound according to personal preference.
To adjust the volume:
1. Make a telephone call and ask the person you are calling to assist
you.
2. Press the +/– buttons on the headset simultaneously for 2 seconds.
A beep will indicate when 2 seconds has passed.
3. Adjust the volume level by pressing the + or – button.
4. When the person you are speaking with fi nds the volume of your
voice appropriate, press the +/– buttons simultaneously for 2
seconds. This setting is now stored in the headset.

  • START
  • Control panel
  • Sounds and audio devices
  • Advanced (Under "Device Volume")
  • Options
  • Check Advanced controls
  • On same drop down menu click Properties
  • Under "Show following volume controls" check Microphone
  • Microphone volume control should appear
  • Uncheck "Mute" below mic volume control
  • Move slider up

Now also do this:
  • START
  • Control Panel
  • Sounds and audio devices
  • Audio
  • Under "Sound recording" select device in which you've plugged in your microphone
  • Voice
  • Under "Voice recording" select device in which you've plugged in your microphone
  • *If you're not sure in what you've plugged in your mic than select "Test Hardware" under "Voice recording".*
  • Click Apply, click OK
