Sony cd changer cdx-646...no card remote commander to release security code
Hi, I had the above installed in my car several years ago by a local car stereo fitting company. Recently had work done on the car which resulted in the cd changer being disabled and the words "code in" appearing on the display when the ignition is turned on. The box in which the cd changer came (from Halfords) has remained in my boot since the day of fitting but i have never seen this card remote commander. I contacted halfords who suggested I contact Sony technical support. Can you help in this matter?

I changed a pump several years ago and learned after new unit did not operate that some aftermarket fuel pumps had to have the wires crossed to the opposite connections as the aftermarket unit was designed to fit various models. Check internet for reference.
Hi, It seems problem with convergence output section of tv and convergence output ICs need to be replaced by professional because it requires soldering work with proper tools. Please call local tv repair shop to get tv repaired. Thanks.
you need to pull apart gear housing - the final shaft has no bushing and seizes sometimes - take apart use emery cloth to remove corrosion and re-lube with heavy grease - good for a few more years - I've done mine several times now.
I have seen Pioneer replaced ribbon cables fail in as little as 3 months. Rick on Ebay guarantee his cables for life or as long as you own it. His company name is Same Day Audio Services and he is very reliable. He will do it for around $100. Pioneer only replace it free for the first time, after that they might charge up to $220. Good luck.
PS. I fix service and sell the Avic N series on Ebay.I get my part from Rick, mention Hogan from Utah and you might get a discount.
Not familar with your car but I had same problem many years ago with a Vauxhall Astra and did same as you, disconnected battery and re-connected, radio didn't work - but my display kept flashing for security code to be re-input, which I didn't have.
Yours could be the same if radio not worked since disconnection - solution: if you dont have code & not in any documentation you got with car, then the radio will need to be re-coded by a dealer (expensive) or enquire with local car spares shops - they normally know a cheaper source. Mine cost about £18 (5 years ago) to get re-coded & I had to remove & reinstall myself.
pin is on the metal frame of radio on left or right side and on sticker starting with the letters BP- then your 4 dig pin also the radio code after the pin write it down to. swich your radio off press hold the AS button while holding AS button down press power button it will automaticaly ask for security code enter security code then radio code
