Open ur phone menu first. then go to settings, open settings, then select ring styles, then select second option it can be as ??????detail.(???? = type of ring style u have selected, whther it is loud, soft, vibrating .vibe & ring or silent). just select second option, then scroll down and look for key tone type, select it and choose it as off, ur annoying keypad will silent. thanks best of luck.

Hi..
This means you have activated the keypad sound, its very simple to deactivate, just go to settings-> tone settings, there you will get the option like "keypad tones" or similar to this.. just select that and make it "off"..
Hope this will help you..

In your tools or setup there will be an option for keypad tones on or off. Set them to off.If you have the manual it will be in there but otherwise look in phone setup.

Hi, for anyone still having this problem with the newer Samsung phones, I just solved the issue I posted up earlier.

To disable keypad tones, but keep your ringtone etc active, go to Profiles -> edit your 'Normal' profile.
Press right on the selection pad twice to get to phone-related settings. Scroll down to the bottom of that page of settings to the 'Phone sound volume' option, select it and adjust it to zero.

This will turn off all keypad noises and other irritating beeps while not actually turning your phone on to 'silent mode', which would disable your ringtone etc.

Hope this helps, I know I was going insane with this phone until I figured out how to turn those sounds off.

KEY PAD SOUND ON W377

Hello Velveteve,

Luckily for your housemates, there is a way for you to silence the keypad.

You'll need to go to your "Settings" Menu
Select Ring Styles, then go to ringer "detail"
If you scroll all the way down, you should be able to see "Key Volume".
Set that to "0".

Similarly, you can choose the "Silent" or "Vibrate" ringer option and that will temporarily silence your Keypad Tones.

Hope this helps,
cHiPz.

Ring volume changing on its own.

Sounds to me like you have a stuck key somewhere on your phone. Was it dropped? Or maybe you hit it too hard. Look closely at the buttons on the side of the screen . you know, the ones that normally change your volume when it's open. One of those is malfunctioning in the down or closed position.
