Disassembly manual for sony vgn a690

Need to change the cd on my vaio.
Would like to get a disassembly manual

My DVD/CD drive has stopped functioning. I would like to replace it and need repair instructions as well. I looked on the bottom of my case, found a single screw that may have been the screw mentioned in the reply post, but after I removed the screw, the drive remained fixed. Note: the replacement drives listed on ebayhttp://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=270301293353, show three metal tabs which would appear to be mounting tabs. These would prevent the drive from simply sliding out. Therefore, I am also seeking dis-assembly instructions. Can anyone help?

Generally only held in with small screw on the bottom of case right at the end of where the drive is. then it just slides out

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

http://www.laptoprepair101.com/laptop/2008/01/07/service-manuals-for-sony-vaio-laptops-notebooks/

In the above link where it states in bold letters -
Service manuals for Sony VAIO laptops and notebooks,

,left-click on - Get it here - to the right of VGN-AR.

This Service Manual is in PDF file format. The computer you are using now has Adobe Reader on it, which uses PDF files.

After you click on the file name, (VGN-AR), it may take up to 30 seconds, before the first page comes up.

Not your laptop, but perhaps this will give more guidance, in removing and replacing the Keyboard,

1) http://www.insidemylaptop.com/how-to-disassemble-asus-ux50v-laptop/

2) http://www.insidemylaptop.com/disassemble-asus-n53s-laptop-fix-dc-power-jack/

Just follow the steps up to removing the Keyboard. These are listed just to give you more info on replacing a Keyboard, not disassembling the entire laptop.

For additional questions please post in a Comment.

[ WOW, that Keyboard is expensive! Suggest you look around for a better deal. I just posted that example to give you info. Average price SHOULD be no more than $40 to $50. Ebay? ]

Sony vaio vgn-sz430n cooling fan how to replace it

Below is a link to the official Sony Vaio VGN-SZ430N Disassembly and Assembly manual. It provides step-by-step instructions for disassembling your Viao notebook to replace the fan. Please note, however, that this process is quite complicated and should not be attempted unless you have considerable experience servicing computers. You WILL need to almost completely disassemble your machine to perform a fan replacement. If you have any hesitance at all about this undertaking, consult with a professional before starting.

How to remove the keyboard?

Remove all of the screws on the bottom, as well as the RAM, hard drive, and CD/DVD drive. Then, while the laptop is open, lift up the upper plastic covering on the bottom (you might need a key to get in there) from here, you should be able to see the keyboard mounting screws, make sure you remove the keyboard cable from the motherboard as you remove the keyboard.

I need to desassemble my Vaio T-350P, to change the memory Tks Ricardo

if you are just upgrading ram, there will be no need to disassemble the whole machine, there should be a cover on the bottom of the machine that you will need to take off before you get access to the ram.

before you do this, make sure your machine is totally switched off, and the battery pack is removed,

try to get a service manual first before you attempt any upgrade
