Samsung remotes for LED / LCD TVs are generally RF, not IR.
Most Universal remotes do not generate RF signals, so disregard advice about codes for Universals.
make sure the sensor bar is plugged in and oriented properly. If thats all ok I would be inclined to believe its the sensor bar, but you might try nintendo customer support before you go out and buy one.
replace the IR sensor...I don't have a part number for it..but I have
seen IR sensors grow either weak..or fail totally..also you'll want to
verify that the remote is working...you can buy an infrared detector
strip from radio shack for a couple bucks...all you do is push power on
the remote continuously..and hold the detector strip up to the front of
the remote..if you see a red flashing on the strip..the remote is
transmitting..if not..the remote has low battery..or has taken a dirt
nap.......
