MY 32FPL5606h/58 isn't responding to the remote control. My remote controls are working as i see the infra red when i push some buttons. But the TV isn't responding. Help!

Check the remote control for its infrared emission. Check it with fresh batteries. Check it by pressing all the keys. You can detect the presence of infra-red emission from the remote control, using a cell-phone camera. If you wish to get more details about how to check a remote control, please visit this site. One among the posts has details about it. In some cases, the remote control might need to clean.

If remote control is working properly, the fault is with the infrared sensor circuit inside the TV. Check and replace the infrared sensor.

Samsung tv has never responded to the remote control

It needs to be Re-Paired to the TV.

First, fresh batteries, and clean battery contacts if needed.

Then, Try Pairing procedure:
  1. TV off
  2. Bring remote within 3 feet of TV
  3. Push Pairing button (Paper Clip or other pointed object in button hole)
  4. Turn on TV
  5. Should be paired. Try remote channel or other buttons.
  6. If not, try 2 more times.
  7. If still not working, push RESET button first and repeat Pairing.

Samsung remotes for LED / LCD TVs are generally RF, not IR.
Most Universal remotes do not generate RF signals, so disregard advice about codes for Universals.

Please rate if Helpful.

Good Luck !!

TV IS NOT RESPONDING TO REMOTE. I'VE CHANGED THE BATTERIES AND HAVE TRIED OTHER SAMSUNG REMOTES THAT WORK ON MY OTHER TVS. ANY SUGGESTIONS...

Sounds like problem is with TV. Make sure the remote sensor on the TV is not blocked, it is located at the lower right part of the front of the TV.

Both remotes for my Wii suddenly stopped working. I think it's the ir sensor, but how can I be sure? Both remotes have fresh batteries and were working  fine yesterday. Now the wii does not register...

make sure the sensor bar is plugged in and oriented properly. If thats all ok I would be inclined to believe its the sensor bar, but you might try nintendo customer support before you go out and buy one.

Not receiving IR Commands from remote.

replace the IR sensor...I don't have a part number for it..but I have seen IR sensors grow either weak..or fail totally..also you'll want to verify that the remote is working...you can buy an infrared detector strip from radio shack for a couple bucks...all you do is push power on the remote continuously..and hold the detector strip up to the front of the remote..if you see a red flashing on the strip..the remote is transmitting..if not..the remote has low battery..or has taken a dirt nap.......
