Disc eject button will not open door. Light blinks once and no response. Was recording fine; then had a disc read error; powered down and restarted, started recording fine, then disc read error midstream; now will not read disc at all, and won't eject disc.

Good news.. you should be able to put the disc back in to the device that you recorded in on... and go to the menu to do the finalize... in fact, you may be able to add more to you disc prior to the finalize process if you want... once it's finalized you should be able to view on other equipment... your files should all be there as well.
one best way is apply a lil pressure from the edge of the door...or...use an hair dyer...and blow a lil warm air...not holding very close but at a fair distance...and then eject. Usually by this it shd open..or else u need an assistance of a technician
