Is there a zoom button to the left of the channel down button on the remote? Press it to toggle, it may be in 3 steps. Its on my Toshiba remote. Maybe only for DVD though.

Use the format button, might be called screen size. You are looking at a format that the screen cannot show completely, I can cut the top and bottom off or make it widescreen and lose the edges on my TV

In the old days that means your "flyback transformer"needs to be replaced.

Take it to a TV tech or junk it and buy a new one. That might be cheaper.

The TV could be wired to same breaker on the furnace. Or the cable line maybe cut or rubbing on electric line for furnace which can cause interference. Check each wire make sure there isn't any bare wire showing. good luck

Everything seems to be zoomed in a little

It sounds like Ratio problem. It should be a button on your TV remote and or Cable TV box that will allow you to set the picture size to 4:3 Ratio, 16:9 or FULL Look at your manuals they use sveral terms, sometime they use picture, Zoom or Ratio.

Best of Luck

The degasuss circuit is staying on. There is a coil of wire wrapped around the picture tube. Uplug it. The picture may or may not remain in proper color. Take it in for repair to be safe.

Screen Problems

Has the TV been dropped lately? If so it's possible the coils that guide the electron beam are misaligned. Also many tv's (same for computer monitors) have either manual knobs or firmware controls that allow you to position your screen and adjust height, width, etcetera..
