The green wire goes directly to the starter. When you look at the end of the starter, you see a pentagon (five sided) shaped piece of metal with three small bolts holding it on. There is a connector at the top of this plate. Thats where the green wires plugs into.

The other end of the wire goes to the starter relay. I am not sure where this relay is located on your bike but I would guess that it's under the seat somewhere. It's a small (about 1 inch) plastic cube. The wire from the starter button actuates this relay which in turn actuates your starter.

Why won't my 1997 ford expedition 5.4 triton start everything works except stereo turn key nothing engine don't turn over there's nothing

Check that the giant red wire on the starter is connected to the starter and the battery. Then check that the giant black wire on the starter goes to ground.

Actually, if there isn't even a click, check the starter relay. And it's fuse. It could also be the ignition switch.

How do you access crimestopper techweb

If you are a professional installer then there are numerous technical support sights to access the wiring diagrams for the vehicle. However, what you really should be worried about is the EVO- ALL and how it connects to the Crimestopper unit that you are using. You have to be certain that the hardware and firmware versions are up to date on the EVO. You can find this by examining the label on the EVO unit and, the installation manual that lists the required versions for the vehicle.

Late 84 fxrs with evo gone through multiple starters solenoids relays and batteries getting click at relay

Your early Evo still had the Hitachi starter and the old style solenoid switch. To check the starter relay, put a test like on the small terminal on the backside of the starter solenoid. It should be a green wire as best as I can remember. Turn the switch on and press the start button. If the test light lights up, the starter relay is working as it should. If not, the relay is bad. If the light lights up but the solenoid does not make a loud click, then the solenoid is bad and should be replaced. It the solenoid makes the loud click but the starter does not turn, the contacts in the solenoid are burned. You must take the back off the solenoid and check the contacts on the backside of the black phenolic plate. To do this, remove all the wires and cables from the back of the solenoid. There should be a nut left on all three studs on the backside, take them off. Then, remove the two screws that hold the phenolic plate on. One of the bolts will remain in the plate while the small stud and one of the larger studs are attached to wires. Check the backside of these studs for burning. One of the studs can be turned 180° and be reused. Rebuild kits are available on the aftermarket parts suppliers. When you put the plate back on, do not over tighten the nuts or the screws. The phenolic plate cracks very easily.

Starter button does not work i traced all wiring from button to ign to selionid i looked at every wire when i hit button i here a clicking noise up in the head light where harness is jump start selionid...

It sounds like you may have a bad starter relay. I'd investigate the clicking that you're hearing in the headlight. That's where I'd start anyway. You didn't give me enough information about the bike nor the engine. The frame is a Wide Glide frame which is different from a Dyna Wide Glide frame. This S&S engine could be an Evo or a Shovelhead but then you said you buy parts for a 1988. That would be an Evo engine.

If your bike is equipped with a NIppondenso starter like an Evolution engine, there is a single wire that plugs onto the starter just above the five sided plate on the right side end. Connect a test light or a volt meter to this wire and press the start button with the switch on. You should have battery voltage on this wire. It should light the light. If not, the starter relay is probably bad. That's may be what you're heaing in the headlight although I've NEVER seen a starter relay in the headlight. They're usually somewhere around the battery tray. It's a one inch plastic cube just like the ones on automobiles.
I hope this helps.

2000 waverunner starter wont stop

This is most often caused by a battery that does not have a full charge on it. The low amperage available from the battery causes the contacts inside the starter relay to weld themselves together and allow the electric starter motor to continue to run even after the starter button is pushed. Always start out with a fully charged battery and you will not have this problem.
