Question about Sony Handycam DCR-DVD101 DVD Camcorder

1 Answer

Broken button Hi! My directional button on the side of my camcorder seems to have broken off in the device. This is, of course, the button I use to finalize my disc, edit my lighting, and other functions. Is there any way I can replace this button, or some way I can at least finalize my discs without it?(It is the silver button with "-far" and "+near" on either side.)

You could finalize your disk on a computer OR if you have the automated edition series, you can push the auto eject button and it will finalize and eject your disk

Dcr-hc32e no picture on side screen, any solutions ?

There is flexible ribbon wired between lcd board and camcorder board, it seems broken so no image on side lcd screen.
Replace flexible ribbon wire by local camera repair shop because camcorder will take apart for that.
Thanks.

How do I hook up my CCD-TRV68 to my computer for editing?

since your camcorder is an analog unit,it's not designed for direct computer connection.connecting to the computer will have to go thru the a/v cable.either you use an analog to digital converter device (like dazzle) or install a video capture card in your computer (but if your PC has it all you need is to run the supporting software for that device and your a/v cable). editing of course is made after downloading the videos to your PC and possible with the use of a video editing software.
