Technika lcd22-208 tv, the dvd drive needs replacing! As i wont load any disks! Can i buy one?

To unlock DVD region on Tesco Technika 40F22B-FHD/DVD tv, you need to press Source or AV on the remote control and scroll to DVD, then press OK. Then you can make sure you have not loaded a DVD/CD, and then set the TV source to DVD. You may also need to adjust the Region settings in the DVD menu.

You have to open the player's top cover, and must rotate the gear wheel at its loading tray to get the CD out.

Its sounds to me like your laser in the DVD needs cleaning or the disk you are trying to play is damaged. First you should buy a lens cleaner for your DVD. They are quite cheap.! Then clean the DVD lens.
Try another Pre recorded DVD Film. If this does not work , then maybe your Laser lens is not working. This then is a job for a repair person.

Be sure that your hardware is a CD/DVD writer,
not just a "combo" drive (CD-reader/writer-and-DVD-reader).

Try a different brand/manufacturer of recordable media.

You may need to update the "firmware" (software residing inside the writer) to allow it to recognize "newer" blank disks.

Note that "blank" disks have some data recorded on them, to identify the manufacturer and composition and capabilities of the media (2X? 4X? 8X?). So, the values on "new" disks may not be allowable by "old' firmware inside the writer.

The failure rate on these Technika products is shocking.
My in-laws had a 19" which gave up completely just after the warranty ran out: power supply probably.

Our 15" TV/DVD now has a DVD drive failure. Just outside warranty, and on ours we hear several loud clicks.
Inspecting the slot at the side tells us that the DVD isn't spinning.

If you're lucky it's just the lens that needs cleaning, and you could use a cleaner DVD if you can get it spinning.

Or maybe it's the motor that's failed, or maybe the bearings have seized, or there's dust in there that's preventing the motor turning.

Who knows. These things are evidently not built to last. I'll not buy another.

my tv remote wont work i bought a new one but it requires you to enter a code and i dont have it. the tv is a technika 32-601 the codes 1484,0193,0363 dont work anyone know the right code

We use pal in the uk.

I have a Technika 22 inc hd flatscreen that will not power up. you can here the dvd running if you load a dvd but the television side wont power up.I have tried to find the internal fuse but have had no luck.Anyone help?
