Unless your using a email program such as thunder bird or if it is a Yahoo or Gmail account I would not even worry about having to delete anything. Just send it back they cannot access private information without the password anyway. So send it back get it fixed and move forward with a new machine when it comes back? John

I just bought a dell inspiron mini laptop, from a pawn shop and cannot use it bbecause they forgot to get the previous owners password so I was wondering how I can reset it or even restore the whole thing...

Download Trinity Rescue Disk and use it to make a bootable TRK USB drive. You may have to change BIOS settings to allow booting from external USB drive. Boot from the trinity rescue disk, and use the "windows password resetting" feature to remove the password from your user account.

I want to factory reset a mini 10 but screen is broke(i am using t.v) im afraid to start the process and then not be able to see anything after

Yes that could be horrid. Try setting the tv as your only screen. If you go to l settings Navigate to the "Start" menu, and click it once to open it. Select "Control Panel." Click "Adjust Screen Resolution" under "Appearance and Personalization." Click the drop-down arrow next to "Multiple Displays" in the window that opens. Select "Show Desktop Only On 2." Windows will disable the Mini 10 display and use the external monitor as the primary screen Read more: How to Run an External Monitor on a Dell Inspiron Mini 9 ' eHow.com http://www.ehow.com/how_6821296_run-dell-inspiron-mini-9.html#ixzz1hFvetaud

Restoring factory settings on Dell 1501

You can run a system repair with the recovery or operating system disc to get it back to the factory settings. A repair will reset the system, and leave any of your files, pics, and programs that you've put into the machine. If you want to clear everything, and go back to the factory settings, then reformat the hard drive and install a new operating system.
