Problem for Canon PIXMA MX310 All-In-One Printer

I just purchased this Canon All-in-one, and I'm trying to print from online and it keep saying load paper and press ok...I have done that several times. What should I do next.

- The printer draws the first sheet of paper half way in and stops. The display requests paper be loaded and to press OK. When this is done the first sheet is reversed back into the loading area and the whole process begins again. The same behavior occurs when I print or copy. Restarting and unplugging have no impact.
