I can not find it on line or at any other local home depots...why can't they/you sell me the model on display????? I have used home depot and have many hampton bay products in my home. I am very upset I could not buy the one on display.

You may be out of luck. I just checked all the Home Depot's in my area (North Central Texas) and none of them have it nor is it available online. So either it's a really, really popular fan (and they haven't ordered new ones) or they have discontinued this particular model. I'm inclined to think the latter. Have you talked to the manager of the store and if he couldn't do anything for you the Regional/Divisional manager? There may be some legitimate reason that they don't want to sell it to you (i.e. they had to rewire the fan to make it work right in their display?) but somebody should give you that reason if that's the case.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

CHAIN SNAPED THAT SWITCHES THE FANS DIRECTION

You will need to remove the fan, being sure to turn off power first. Then open it up and remove the old switch, and install the new switch. If you take the old one into a Home Depot or similar store they can help you match the switch. There are many different types, so take the old one in. I can't speak to the specific steps, but it should be pretty simple once the headache of dismounting the fan is over.

Hampton bay fan model 761 567 running faster on

Your issue is most likely a faulty speed control. The part is integral to the remote receiver in the fan housing. You can purchase spare parts for this fan through Home Depot (Hampton Bay) Service at 800-654-0688.

The receiver is located in the upper portion of the housing for the fan motor. Look for a semi-circular black control box (usually manufactured by Rhine)
