Question about Sony KP-57WS500 57" Rear Projection Television
5 INTER-MITTEN FLASHING LIGHT ON CONTROL PANEL.
PICTURE TURNS OFF FOR A SECOND AT IRREGULAR INTERVAL.
FINALLY PICTURE TURNS OF PERMANENTLY. AUDIO IS STILL ON.
Your TV is trying to tell you what is wrong with the red flashing.
Five flashes means that you have a white balance problem or the x-ray protection is enabled.
Although I could tell you how to solve the problem, this is not really something you should try and do by yourself.
If your set has Tele-Text that is most likely where your fault comes from. This is however something a Sony techinician should fix.
Sorry about the bad news.
