I'm trying to connect my x box live wireless adapter to my wireless network.

I don't know where to find the WPA, SSID and other settings that need to be entered (I don't even understand what these things are!!!). I do not have the documentation from the netgear router so all I can reference is the numbers on the unit, which directed me to this website. HELP!!

Hello, You can access your router settings by putting this address in your address window. 192.168.1.1 this is the default address to the router. There will then be a sign in window for an ID and Password. These will both be "admin". From there you can view and change all settings including SSID, WEP, WPA. Most of this is explained in settings. If not Google. Hope this helps.

How do you Hook up a samsung ht-bd 1250 to a net gear wnc2001wireless router

In case you want to RTFM:
http://www.manualslib.com/manual/144113/Samsung-Ht-Bd1250.html?page=30#manual
If you are connecting a cable from the player to one of the LAN ports on the back of your router, then you shouldn't have to do any configuration.

If you're connecting wirelessly, then you'll need a Samsung wireless adapter. Your model doesn't have internal wireless, and it won't take any other wireless adapter but the Samsung WIS09ABGN adapter. It also looks like there is only one USB port, so if you plug in the wireless adapter, you won't be able to plug in USB storage devices.

Our Samsung Blu-Ray player had some trouble connecting, and what I discovered is that it couldn't deal with a network SSID that contained anything but letters, and couldn't deal with a network security (WEP/WPA) key code/password that had anything but numbers and letters. A good WPA key should have at least one special character (punctuaion, &, etc.), but you might have to simplify the key for your Samsung.

So here are some steps to connect wirelessly:
1) Write down your router's SSID, which might also be called "network ID" or "wireless network" or something similar. (If you don't know this, you can log into your router to see it, or check to see what wireless network your computer is connected to; the name of that network is the SSID.
2) Write down the WPA key to your network. If you don't know it, you'll have log in to your router and look on the "security" or "wireless security" tab. It might be called "WEP key" or "WPA passkey" or "network password" or whatever.
3) Check both of those for hypens, ampersands, etc. If there is a special character in either the SSID or key, you'll have to log in to your router to change it.

Once your SSID and key have only numbers and letters, you're ready for a manual install.
It's a bunch of steps, and here they are from the manual:

Need wpa passphrase so i can caonnect to xbox live

When you configured the wireless interface in your router, you should have set:
* SSID, your "network-name"
* an encryption-level; hint: use 'WPA' or 'WPA2'
* a password for your network

Use the SSID/password to connect your wireless device to your router.

Having trouble connecting Xbox live. Have wireless router and wireless Xbox 360 adapter. Figured out where adapter goes. Now I'm stuck.

Is the router already setup and working? Do you have anything else that successfully connects to it "wirelessly", like a laptop or desktop or smartphone? If the answer is yes, here's how to setup the 360 to connect to your router:

1. Turn on the console and navigate to the wireless settings screen. On the Xbox 360, the menu path is "System -> Network Settings -> Edit Settings."
2. Set the SSID (network name) on the Xbox to match that of the wireless router. If your wireless router has enabled SSID broadcast, the SSID name should appear pre-selected on the Xbox display. Otherwise, select the "Specify Unlisted Network" option and enter the SSID there.
3. Specify "Infrastructure" as the Network Mode. (Infrastructure is the mode used by wireless routers.)
4. Set the Security Type to match that of the wireless router. If your router uses WPA encryption and the type of adapter connected to the Xbox does not support WPA, you will need to change your router settings to use WEP encryption instead.
5. Save your settings and verify the network is functional. On the Xbox 360, use the "Test Xbox Live Connection" option.
Tips: Even when your wireless connection between the Xbox and the router is working perfectly, you may still experience difficulty connecting to Xbox Live. These issues can be caused by the quality of your Internet connection or the firewall and Network Address Translation (NAT) settings of your wireless router. Additional troubleshooting may be required in these areas to achieve reliable Xbox Live connections.
What You Need: Active Xbox Live subscription (to access services)
