Question about Fuji FinePix S5200 / S5600 Digital Camera
Whilst taking some photos for some items that I wanted to sell on eBay, I rested my Fuji S5600 camera on my lap, with the flash open (or in the "up" position). Now stupid me was fiddling around with some cables, and sure enough, I felt the camera fall from my lap. I managed to grab it just in time, but in doing so, my hand landed on the flash, which pushed it down, but the flash didn't stay down. Once I got a better hold of it, I gently pushed the flash down, it clicked and stayed down. I then tried to take another photo, but when I tried, the flash refused to pop up, and the camera then shutdown. My guess is that the latch on the flash is buggered. Is there anything I can do? How do you pull one of these things apart? Is it even repairable? Do I chuck it in the bin and buy another? Come to think of it, are ANY of the digital cameras for sale today mechanically repairable?
