Our Whirlpool electric range model # GERC4110PS with ceramic top lost its ''BEEP'' when the timer, clock, etc. are being programmed. What causes this malfunction and what is the solution to this problem?

farkle, outside of Gendos's excellent advice, the issue could be with the keypad. If your model has a keypad ribbon that attaches to the main board, remove it and take a eraser and clean the ends. Then reinsert it. On the board there should be two clips on the end where the ribbon attaches. Lift these up and the ribbon will pull out. See if this solves the problem...Catriver.

Unplug the unit and see if this will reset the board. If this doesn't work then replace the oven control board.

SOURCE: Unlocking Oven controls

According to the manufacturer's website you should only need to Press and hold the "Lock" key for 5 seconds. A single tone will sound and the "Loc" will disappear off the display.

This is the link to Whilpool's website and to the manual.

SOURCE: Gas range makes buzzing sound which goes away when disconnected from electrical outlet.

Call the manufacturer. Chances are it's a common problem and they already know about it.

My whirlpool white magic 650 P produces contineous beep sound while connected to the electric plug. However the power switch and light indicators on the mechine is not working.

Sounds like you have a control logic issue. Either a button on the control panel is stuck, or the control board is defective. Find the model number on the unit and post it in the comments please.

Dryer runs but beeps intermitenly and doesn't stop beeping

you most likely have a bad computer board located in the top console.i haven't changed any of these boards out but on the frigidaire affinity dryer this happens alot and it's the computer board.the dryer would just start beeping on it's own, like 3 beeps at a time beep beep beep, then beep beep beep, was the board, you have to give the full model number to whoever you order the board from, open the dryer door, look around the opening where you put the clothes in and you'll see a tag with the full model number.good luck.

Hi,
I have look up your unit, I found the thermostat located inside the back panel the would only take out the function to your elements in your oven.
High limit thermostat
This link shows its location and price of the part. Now for you display issue, before continuing, push and hold the clock button on the panel until you hear a beep, if the unit is set to Sabbath mode this will clear that. If not I will continue, by the way missing a version number to model number, like a number (0 or 02). Have you have a power outage recently? I am not locating any line fuses the would take the display out. If the clock doesn't reset then I would think about checking warranty or can your dealer to inquire on your warranty.

Good Luck and I hope this helps.

My timer does not beep when time is up?

This sounds like either a defective piezo beeper or bad solder. Your range should beep as you set cooking time but not when you set the clock. If no beep is heard, then your timer and clock board have a defect, and should be covered under warranty if this is a new range. It is the same beeper device for the alarm, and is quite easy to hear.

Hello fairglen,
welcome,

You said, model WHIRLPOOL WEP54800 Stove starts to beep at different times of the day. After four beeps F2 shows up and continues to beep when it feels it should. The control board has been checked twice and A new oven sensor installed. EVERY thing works perfect. This all started after water was brought to A boil on the back burner

But something is wrong!!??
Check your model number.
It is not showing up anywhere in the repair manuals or error codes.
Not even Canada.
What country did you buy it in?
How old is this range?

These are the only F2 codes I found in whirlpool so far!

F2 - Oven temperature sensor shorted = Replace oven temperature sensor

F2-Oven temperature above specifications = 8-pin connector oven temperature sensor to the Electronic Range Control (ERC)

Waiting your response or correction!!!!!!!!!!!

We have a Whirlpool electric ceramic stove top. All of a sudden we are unable to regulate the heat i.e. it stays hot all the time and therefore cannot simmer anything.

Its hard to suggest anything since you did not give us the model number of your range and which of your unit is defective
