I have a Pioneer DEH-9600MP that i can not get power to the back screen. front screen controls work fine and cd and radio play fine but when i press open and the front face opens there is nothing on the rear screen lit up and i am unable to use any of the controls on that screen. Checked all wiring and reset the unit but still nothing...Any ideas on the problem?
-   I have the same problem. I have written Pioneer about this stereo and a previous one I purchased (deh8500mp) which had problems also. Pioneer has failed to write back with any comments about these problems. If this is a manufacturing flaw, then they need to fix their products instead of making us pay 100 dollars to a repair shop.-   rdnck83

-   I have the same exact problem, I also have a similar unit that has the flip down screen just an older model and had issues with it also. Is this what Pioneer builds electronics for? A measly 2 years until they do not work anymore?-   rdnck83

there is a broken ribbon cable that needs to be replaced. parts and labor shouldnt cost you more than a 100 bucks. worth it since it never has the problem again

I just got a '99 s-10 with a factory AM-FM Cassette all in 1 unit. It also has an aftermarket 6 CD changer. The disc plays but I can't get sound because I can't get the 'CASSETTE/AUX' button on the radio to switch off the radio. The button doesn't do anything, that is except when I turn off the radio then press the button. Then the little cassette icon on the radio will flash, but still no sound from the CD that's playing.

Hi I own a PIONEER DEH960 head unit but live in the EU where the FM radio step is 0.05 Mhz instead of the 0.2 the head unit steps. Is there any way to replace its FM tuner with the European one ?
