It's a warning. Conditions are to dark, so the shutter time is so slow that you can risk shaken pictures.
A solution could be to raise the ISO or use flash or simply support the camera on a firm surface.

How do I change the iso on my nikon coolpix p50 camera?

First of all, you need to be out of the point&shoot modes. Those modes are designed to let you point the camera and shoot, with very little control over the resulting picture besides the framing and timing.

ISO sensitivity is in the Shooting menu. Rotate the mode dial to P, M, or Hi ISO, then press the MENU button. Use cursor-up/down to select "ISO Sensitivity".

Just bought a nikon af l35 camera. Is it just a point and shoot camera? Wondering what the little switch on the front is for left hand side top as you look at it and the little switch on the side of the...

The self-timer lever is on the front of camera, to the left. The switch on the side of the lens is the backlight compensation lever.

You can download a copy of the manual from

When I take daylight shots that have a large portion of sky in them, they are invariably underexposed. I have tried different modes, P and manual, and all have the same result. The meter "thinks"...

There is nothing wrong with your camera. You nailed the explanation....your meter thinks there is plenty of light and cuts down the exposure. Two ways to do this: 1. Point your camera toward the part you want properly exposed and press the exposure lock button. Then, recompose, focus and shoot. 2.Press the exposure compensation button and set a lower number.

There is what looks like an exclamation point inside a half vase with a squiggly line on the bottom.

I don't think it is squiggly line but water and the explanation point is a thermometer, you are overheating. Check the coolant, find out why it is on. Hope this helps.

Loading film into it.

You pull down on the clip on the side of the camera. That will open the back of the camera. Pull out a little of the film from the canister. Put the canister into the side with the spindle. Put the end of the film that you pulled out over the roller on the opposite side of the camera then shut the lid and turn on the camera.

I need to know if the kodak easyshare c140 has aperture mode

No. One problem with many point&shoot cameras is that they only let you point and shoot, giving you little to no control over the other aspects of photography.

Flash

Have the camera in shooting mode ready to take a picture. Press the right arrow button (this is the flash mode setting option). Keep pressing the right arrow to get to the desired flash mode you are looking for. In your case you want the squiggly arrow in a circle for flash off. One you do that then you are ready to take the image and the flash will not fire.
