My brother convinced me that i needed to copy all my contacts to the sim card, i did this and it said merge or overwrite, he told me to go to overwrite then it just deleted all of my numbers... is it possible to get my numbers back?

copy the contacts on the sim card to a sd card in the phone. If you don't have one, get one and put it in the phone. Set up the memory in the phone to both sim and memory card. Copy the contacts onto the memory card. Remove the memory card and then go about deleting the contact list in the phone. Put the memory card back in the phone and set the memory in the phone touse the memory card only...not the sim. You're done.
Not much you can do if your sim card is full other than clear some out. What else do you store on it? An option you could consider is using some other form of contacts. You can link your cell phone with google contacts and I'm sure there are others. Does you phone have a slot for an SD card? You could transfer your contacts to one of those as well.
It sounds like you need a new sim card but if your phone has no sim then you might need your firmware flashed...and no thier is no way to get your contacts back i once sent my phone away to bell and they sent it back empty i could not get them back :(
no matter if your numbers are on the phone or sim you should be able to see the delete (if u see edit, copy or cut) if u need to. but if not you can always overwrite.... Ex...if Ben is who unwanted just overwrite with Susan.(name & number).
1. From the standby screen (the first screen when you open your phone), go to the menu. 2. Scroll to the address book and press select. 3. Scroll to the address you wish to copy (or any address if you want to copy all of them) and press the menu key. 4. Go down to copy and press select.
5. Select "Entries" to copy just that one entry or "All to SIM" if you
want to copy all your addresses to your SIM card, or "All to Phone" if
you want to copy them all to your phone. 6. Select Merge or
Override. Merge will combine any addresses that are already on your
card with the ones you are now copying, Override will replace anything
that is already there with the ones you are now copying. Be careful in
deciding which you want to do since Override will delete anything
previously saved and merge will duplicate any that were already saved
and are being saved again.
The razr that i had could only store 4 numbers on the sim card, your phone book is stored on your phone's memory not your sim. I'm pretty sure that you cannot transfer your phone book over to your sim card.
