You probably need to replace the keyboard or to check keyboard flat cable connection inside the laptop. Before doing that just try to see if it is a software problem. For example starting a new installation of windows from cd and checking if keys t and y work when you are required to put serial key. If they do not work it is an hardware problem, as above.

The "n" key on my laptop has all of a sudden become floppy - how do i fix or replace?

Under the N key there are tiny plastic hinges. Align the N key with the B and M keys then press down on the N key until the key clicks onto these hinges.

Sticky keys how do i fix it?

Hi Dgr Welcome to fix ya !

The sticky keys are part of Windows Ease of Access Center Accessibility program.

1. The easiest way to enable/disable the sticky keys is to press the "Shift " key five times. This will turn on/turn off the program.

2. The second way is to press the Windows logo key + U at the same time. This will open the Ease of Access Center. Then select the link that reads" Make the keyboard easier to use."

3. Under the section that reads, "Make it easier to type" you have the option to enable the Sticky Keys or a link to Set Up Sticky Keys. Select whether you want to set up the Sticky Keys or just enable them if you have previously set them up. If setting them up for the first time, remember to click "Apply" after making your selections.

Hope this helps. If you need further assistance, just leave a comment at the end of this solution and I'll be glad to help. Thanks for using Fix Ya.

How to fix a key on a keypad

This is a common problem and easily fixed, so don't worry. The key on your keypad has retainers under the keypad. You need a set of tweezers to squeeze the retainers and then place the key over and it should lock in place. If your key is still intact with your keyboard, but its just not working. You could get a Phillips flathead screwdriver and pry the key and see if there is anything wrong under. Maybe it might be sticky. You could try cleaning it with a Q-tip. Put the key back on just like the steps above. Hope this helps!

Broken "shift" key.

Well you can try and clip it back on, if able, or use a wee bit of hot glue, or replace whole keyboard.

Keyboard keys L/G/R acting weird

It sounds like the Windows is registering the "Windows Key" as being in the "Pressed" position. This is the key between control and alt on the left side of the keyboard. Press it a few times and see if that helps. If it does not it sounds like that key or the keyboard may need replacement.
