Turning up hot water heater

Hi. We can't find how to turn up the hot water heater. Where is the dial or gage? We took off a metal plate only to find wires. Any thoughts?

It is a Craftmaster Hot water Heater

I had to mark that it is a dryer because there isn't a subcategory for Hot Water heaters.

Works sometimes took it apart found relay on board burnt and pitted could that cause this problem e64

Hi Stephen, I understand that your dryer is receiving an error code. Typically "E64" error code indicates that there is an open heater circuit. This can sometimes be reset by unplugging or turning the household power breaker off to the appliance for five to ten minutes. Otherwise, if it continues to reappear this could indicate you have bad heater coils and connections. This would require a professional to assess the concerns. Hope this helps! JK

What is f04 Whirlpool 6th sense?

F04 indicates a fault in the heating circuit.
It can be a main board, wiring, thermostat or heater fault.
You would need to check the heater and thermostats with a multimeter to ensure they are not open circuit.
.
However, the first thing to try is a reset of the control board.
.
Turn the dial to off.
Turn the dial clockwise to the 6 o'clock position.
Press the start button 3 times
Turn the dial 1 position clockwise.
Press the start button 3 times.
.
This should erase the code.
Try the machine again.
If the code comes back, you need to check out the heating circuit.
If you change or repair any part, reset the board, then try again.

Hi,
Check the vent in the back...

If your dryer is not drying like it once did or if you just have not taken the time to give yourself a clean dryer in a long time then you need to do that. At least once a year the dryer cleaning should take place. Lint build up in the dryer duct is one of the main causes for your dryer to fail.

It gets hot but doesnt dry

you will need to remove the front cover,by removing 2 kick panel screws at the base of the front of the machine, remove front cover and make sure blower wheel is turning,if so,then remove any heating ductwork and vacuum out all lint, this sounds like a restriction inside the machine for air flow

White knight dryer wk767 (Crosslee) blows fuse when turned on

Probably a problem with the heater element (if mineral insulated metal sheath type), or fluff on wire heater coils if that kind. This is behind the back cover.

Not heating/timer knob not turning . the dryer works but is not heating and i noticed that the knob is not turning therefore it does not shut off just keeps running.

HI. The timer device is responsible for initiating the heating cycle. If the dial plate is unable to advance, the heating circuit will not operate correctly, thus, preventing proper heating. Another indication of timer mechanism failure will be an un going cycle. You have stated that the unit Will continue to run, without stopping. This is caused by the defective timer device.

In most cases, the actual timer motor will Fail. This motor is , essentially, responsible for the forward motion of the dial plate.

I recommend to replace this damaged timer device, asap.

Water heater not working to capacity

You most likely have two elements an upper and a lower. the upper is working and the lower is not. If there is two element there will be acess panels both high and low. cut off the power and open the lower one. You can feel the tank and see if it feel hot of just sort of luke warm. if it isn't hot the the thermostat or the element is out.

Problem with my dryer

Heating element coil has shorted to the metal housing. This is usually caused by items like nails or other metallic objects (left in pockets) falling into the heater assembly. There should not be any continuity between the heater leads and the housing. Unplug and do not use until issue with heater has been resolved
