Question about Lexmark X5150 All-In-One InkJet Printer

1 Answer

Lexmark X5150 won't accept paper.

When I try to print, the paper is only being taken into machine on the right side, resulting in a jam. Is it possible that a roller has jammed ? Do they have rollers ?

Thanks Wiz, but I've checked paper path and it seems clear.

I'm having the same problem. On the right side the roller is working fine, I can't find a roller or anything on the left side. I have also tried to take it apart but can't. I have removed all the screws but can't get it apart. I just tried an evnalope on the right side and it worked perfect. So it is the left side that is not working, but I can't see anything on the left side to check with. No roller or feeder. Hope someone can help us. Thanks

More then likely with it doing that. Something is in the paper path blocking one side of the paper.

Yes there would be rollers. It would be odd if only one was slipping or dirty.
Have you tried watching it feed with a flashlight? Seeing if the one roller is just slipping when trying to feed, there also would be some small gates, they are called, that shoud move up and down to square up the paper feed. One of those maybe sticking.

A small burr on one of the paper transports can cause that.
Right now, if you haven't take a flash light, look into the paper feed as it's feeding and see what's going on. Let me know if you can see what's causing the problem.

The paper always jams when I want to print. It grabs the right side of the paper and scrunches the left side. It is a lexmark x5150 I have tried different paper and nothing works.

Leading cause of paper jams is debris/foreign objects that accidentally fell into the paper feed area.

1. Remove the sheets of paper from the feeder.

2. Grab a flashlight and look inside for any debris.

3. If you're willing and physically able, you may also turn the printer over. Any debris should just freely roll out from the feeder.

4. If feeder is clear, place the printer back on the table, open the printer cover and remove the cartridges.

5. Check the cartridge area for any obstructions/debris that could cause this error or problem.

6. If cartridge area is clear, close the cover.

7. Unplug and re-plug the printer into the power outlet to reset it.

8. When the printer turns on, reinsert the cartridges and load some paper. Try to print again.

How does one remove a paper jam. Have lexmark 5485

Open the panel and have access to the roller. if you detach the side motor it will be easier to manually turn the rollers and get the jammed paper out. You can also get the paperr out by carefully turning the gear drive of the motor and get the paper out. Clean the rollers well before the printer is closed.
Test and proceed., Use the correct grade printing paper.
Hope this helps

Lexmark E 342 n paper jam with error code 201

According to the LexMark support page, this is most often related to not getting the print cartridge assembly properly positioned. (Left and right sides not fully in place). Another possible source is paper in the output tray when using the double sided printing feature. (This leads to grabbing an extra sheet when it tries to retrieve the paper to print the second side. Paper stock thickness will change the number of pages printed before this happens.).

I hope this helps.

X5150 printer turned; no paper in printer; paper feeder continues

Unplug the printer and then open the front and look at the Rear right side and you should see a small ce6913f.jpg
Tab If it is bent then gently with a pencil or pen push it back and try printing if it still gives you problems then contact Lexmark and if you still have a warranty they will replace it if not then you will have to get a new one.
Best suggestion for a new printer that is almost the same is the Lexmark X3550 printer.

My lexmark x5150 printer won't print the last two inches of printing on the right hand side of the paper. how do I fix this?

Is it from every progam/application? If it's only from MS Word for example, it could be your margins.

If it's from all applications, maybe your paper size is set to something other than what's really in there?

Lexmark x5150 color printing issues

Sometimes ,poor print quality may be due to ink build up in the maintenance station ..

Your ink cartridges stay in the maintenance station when not in use. Depending on the printer model, the maintenance station may be located on the right or left side of the printer. NOTE: You do not need to remove the cover in order to access the maintenance station.

To access the wiper for cleaning purposes:
Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer.
Move the ink cartridge carrier to the left by gripping the top of the rubber carrier belt and gently pulling it across towards the right-hand side of the printer.
Take a warm, damp paper towel or napkin and gently clean the wiper on the right-hand side of the maintenance station.

Paper only being taken in on one side.

In some printers there is a roller which can be removed. Once the roller is removed it should be possible to remove any thing which would prevent the roller pulling the paper through evenly.
