Question about Bose Lifestyle 30 System
QUESTION # 1
The cd magazine will not eject and keeps running and making a clicking noise. Kind of like it is trying to eject but is stuck.
Question # 2, Comment by mcmurphy59, posted on Feb 23, 2008 Smilemaker, I tried what you suggested and the magazine popped forward but not enough to actually eject it, it is still stuck, not quite far enough to grab it and pull it out. We tried to pull it from the sides, but it still feels like it is stuck on something. The clicking motor ejection noise stopped. Any ideas how to get the rest of the way out?
I tried to get you to answer this by sending a response and did not get anything back.

Are you determined to try to fix the CD unit ?
it could be taken apart and the problem found with dificulty unless it is obvious from the outset and thus resolved, ( i suggest you get a new cd 20 or a second hand replacement or remanufactured unit, all available from bose or try ebay etc. they are old now and not very expensive.
PS the reason the unit is sticking is beacuse it is most likely the cassette is damaged ( you can buy a replacement cassette, part number is on the side (llook up on intenet) and identical generic and after-market ones are avaialbe as the cassette is a standard part.)
second most likely cause is something caught in the cassets insertion mechanism which will involve opening cd 20 - not recommended to open this unless you are determined to do so and spend lots of time messing with springs andmotors and belts etc.
my advice..... get a replacement cassette first (borrow a mates one first to check) then replace cd 20 its not going to cost too much.
