Question about HP (ZD929AA) Computer Speakers

1 Answer

Unbalanced sound when i try to listen to music with the speakers, the instrumentals are really loud, but ht evocals are so soft that you can hardly hear them. Also, the sound seems to echo and it makes the sound distorted. Any idea how to fix this?

Hello there!
First things First
1) you got a 5.1 sound card?
2) Direct X 9.c installed?
3) On control panel and multimedia, change to 2 speakers, that should work.
ano other than these is a bad pair of speakers! time to buy new ones.

ONE OF MY SPEAKER SOUND BECOME LOWERED

Check your soft balance in Windows (assuming you're running windows)
If however you have a habit of playing really loud music, you may have partially blown one speaker or damaged one side of the amp.

I was listening to music loud on my 5.1 speakers and they cut out. No sound, no lights to indicate it's even on. I did notice the fuse but took it out and it looks fine.

What has most likely happened, is that the speakers were over-powered and could not deal with the amount of sound. Or the other thing that would have happened, is that the fuse blew. If either of these is the case, the only solutiono is to purchase a new fuse for the speakers,(make sure you notice the voltage of the fuse - (find that on the original fuse itself.))
And after that, don't listenm to music that loudly again!

Crackling noise from subwoofer!

If ayou have a system with speakers that works and a different set is crackling
the set that crackles is to be determined the bad set. Cones dry up a bad assembley just coinsidents having a bad set of speakers. It is an AUDIO problem not a computer problem

Speakers stopped working

I get such a thing from time to time on different systems. What I do:

1. Open the Sound Control Panel (the one on this present PC is named: "SoundMax Control Panel").
2. Enable or Disable a certain feature (something like "Virtual Theater Surround" or "Virtual Ear" or "Acoustic Environments" or so on).
3. Click Apply and the sound is back in your speakers.
4. If you want, you can undo the enable / disable and the sound still works.
