Question about ASUS My Cinema-P7131 (90C1VFV00UAYZ)

1 Answer

The TV picture is flashing

I have recently installed an ASUS P7131. Installation was clean and downloaded the latest drivers. The program found the cable channels (PAL) but the TV broadcast is flashing on the screen. When I capture the captured mpeg2 files play correctly (i.e. without flashing). I suspect some display problems.
This is further corroborated by the Dscale program that gives normal, non-flashing TV reception. FM radio works OK.

The problem seems to be due to Cyberlink PowerDirector. Most people suggests to remove it from the computer and use other capture programs. This, of course, does not explain the stuttering display of the TV channels on a Plug-and-Play LCD monitor.

My Cinema-P7131 is not responding. I have win xp sp3.

Your P7131 may not be responding because it is not enabled. To check if is recognized and enabled check in "Device Manager" by doing the follwing. Click on "start", lower left of your screen. Find "control panel" and click on that to open. In your list, or icons, find "Device Manager". Right click on that and open, click on "continue". Ciick on box with + next to "idisplay adaptors". You will see a drop down and, should see Asus or tv tuner. Right click on that and you will see in the box, "enable" or "disable".if you see enable, click on that and you know your tv tuner is recognized and enabled.
If you need drivers you can get them here;
1 Select product-click on arrow at right of window, scroll to "multimedia" and click on to select.
2 Select series- click on arrow at right, scroll to "TV TUNER" and click on to select.
3 Select models-click on arrow at right, scroll to "My cinema 7131" and click on to select.
Click search. A window will pop up "enter your o/s". Click on the arrow on right and select Win XP or Win XP 64 bit, depeneding on what you have, and click search. This will bring up your download. Usually the top most driver is the most current. Click on your download and run.
You will notice there are three choices under select models. If P7131 is your complete model # then you have the right download.

Hi there. I have recently installed Honestech VHS to DVD 2.5 SE. However when I connect my laptop to the vcr the program doesn't pick up the vcr. Why could this be?

Make sure you have the latest drivers downloaded on you computer that are for the program. If the correct drivers aren't installed or updated the pc won't recognize your device.

Hard to understand what you mean.

Make sure all the neccesary software and drivers are installed, and obviously make sure your TV signal is strong enough.
