I don't know why but I can load pictures but the video files never show up. It's as if they only exist on the camera itself. Could it be because my dad messed around with the PC back in decemeber? I think it was sometime in early december that I last uploaded videos on the computer... my DAD also downloaded Picasa and that seemed to take over the original program that went with the camera. I should know this but did the camera come with a instillation CD for the softwear to upload photos and video? Also, could Picasa have messed up the uploading of videos? It was also downloaded in December I think... Anyway if you could address any of my questions and even give me more information on how to get my videos to start being recongnized, and the reason why they are not then I would greatly appreciate it.

I don't know how long you had this problem nor when it started. I don't know that it is a poblem, and I don't know if it can be fixed. Too many variables: the camera, the USB plugs, the USB cable, the software, the possible interference, and so on.
Have you tried to upload the pictures and videos using a card reader?
jpg and jpeg are both "picture only" file formats. it might have put it in another folder on the camera. the file will be either .mpg , .mpeg, or .avi most digital cameras save as .avi witch is perfect for uploading online! I would check every folder that is on the camera. there's gotta be an AVI file in there somewhere!
Good luck hope this helped!
