Sony vaio pcv-rx860 boots but no monitor

I've got a desktop Sony Vaio that has been used in about 6mos while redoing our home office. Just plugged it in and it boots and "sounds" fine with all the beeps, etc., but the monitor says "no input". I opened the top and found a lot of dust- so I used "dust-off" to get rid of it and tried again- still same issue. I tried the monitor on my laptop and no problems there, so I know the monitor's fine. Also, when pc boots, the keyboard lights up, so it's working as well. What am I missing? Can't really check anything or get into safe mode to see what's going on since I don't have a monitor connection working.
Thanks!

OK- I've been able to get the top cover off of the pc really easily to clean it, but not sure about how this one disassembles- I've got to look into this to figure out how to get the side cover off this vaio- sony's built this like a tank with so much framework inside it's hard to see down into it to where the video card would be- so I've got to figure out how to get the side cover off first, then I'll try to reseat the video card.

Can't boot in bios since I can't see what I'm doing or where the boot process really is without a monitor.

Since your comfortable with opening the case, with the power shut OFF, re-seat the video card ( assuming it has one and isn't built onto the motherboard ) What I mean by this is: remove the video card and re-install it.

Hi,
check your graphics card on the PC ?
Or boot into the bios, and see if it,s set to bootup to a PCI Or AGP Card.
If onboard, re-install the Drivers For VGA.

    Hi,

you may need to carefully prise of the front panel, or look underneath for screws.

even under the feet maybe. Sony are good at hiding stuff.

My Sony Vaio PCV-RX860 won't boot and makes a clicking sound.

It's usual that new desktop PC's have fans sounds and keyboard LED's flashing during booting..There's nothing wrong on that, as long as you can get in to your PC OS.

Problem with Sony Vaio pcv-rx860 (screen goes black at startup)

I would suggest first to try to take one stick of memory out and try to boot up the pc. Sometimes, one or both of the memory sticks can go bad or the memory slot on the motherboard itself can go bad. If that is not the case I would then remove all of the usb connected to the computer and last i would test the power supply.
