Re: CD Rom does not work HELP!
Typically these drives don't need an extra driver, as windows detects them automatically. The first thing I'd recommend trying is to right click it's entry with the exclamation mark and uninstall it. Once uninstalled, reboot the pc. It should install correctly then. If it doesn't, there may be an issue with the IDE controller it's connected to (usually a bios setting determining raid/ide mode).

Save the file and then unzip and extract it to your hard drive. Now
burn the subdirectory RMTM0000 and its contents (not the text file)
onto a CD-ROM (ISO format, "closed" CD-ROM). Insert CD-ROM into the LG
BD 370 P player, and when the Region Management System screen is
displayed, set the Region Code to "0" using your remote. Once done,
press "PAUSE" on you remote to save, and you're done!"

Check to make sure the red and white plugs are in the same av3 area as the yellow video plugs. On some TVs it is close together with av1 or 2 and not well marked. Also check the connector at the CD end. Hope that's all it is. Let me know if I can help more if it's not the solution:)
Either the glass laser eye lens is dirty, or faulty. You can first try to clean with rubbing alcohol and cotton swab. If cleaning doesn't help, re-download drivers and cd-rom software. If problem still persists, get new laser eye unit or rom drive

XP home should automatically detect and install the device.

There are a few concerns here:- if the drive has been virused, it may have been instructed to shut-down or corrupted the Drives Logical Board.
If you go to My Computer/Control Panel/System/Hardware/Device Manager.
See if your drive is recognised There, DVD/CD Rom Drives.
If it isn,t Click the small screen icon, top of page " Scan for hardware Changes " this should detect the drive if it,s recognisable by the system.
If it is, right click/Properties. And see if the device has any conflicts ( usually noticed by a yellow Triangle/exclamation Mark. Or drivers not installed.
Failing this, you can go into the systems Bios Screen. F2 at bootup. and see if the device is visible in there. And whether it,s enabled.
If none of this works, please mail back here.
