Question about Sony Playstation 3 (PS3) Console
Yep, Just happened to me... what the F?
we need to get all of us togeter and sue ******* sony.
I tryed to call them she said I need to pay $150 So they can fix but if everybody has the same problem I think is the ps3 problem.
So therefore they should fix this for free.

If it is under warranty, then Sony should fix it for free. If it's out of warranty then yeah you are going to pay to get it fixed. The reason Microsoft is still fixing their systems for free is that the 360 is a bad design all-together and they have to keep extending their warrenty.
If it won't load a disc, then more than likely your blueray laser is out. If you want to fix it yourself look online to purchase a new or refurb laser and change it out. It literally takes 15 minutes to change it and put it back together. And you just need a screw driver, and a security t-8 bit (might be security t-10).
If you turn on the system and just get a black screen, turn it off and back on (when you see a red light) and hold the power button until it beeps for a third time (it should turn back off). Turn the power back on and it may work, if not it's normally a bad hard drive which is easily changed.
Of course it could be a few other issues as well but these are the commons.

I agree, i think we need to start a lawsuit. Microsoft and nintendo would just fix the problem but Sony wants to charge us!!
