Question about Zyxel P660HW-D1 Router

P660HW DSl problem

When I connect my new P660HW Router, I can't get the DSL LED to remain solid and therfore get an internet connection. The DLS LED on my old box which is a Zyxel prestige 600 series works fine, so its not a connection problem. I even brought the Router back to the store because I thought it might be faulty and had it replaced with a new one. Its exactly the same. Can anyone help. Could it have anything to do with my Kaspersky anti-virus software?

    The DSL light doesn't remain constant, it flickers. I bought this Router so that I could keep the internet on my PC but also pick it up on my laptop. The model is Zyxel Wireless ADSL Modem Router P660HW and G202

    The DSL Light stays on for a couple of seconds, then flashes twice, then remains on for a couple of seconds before flashing again and so on. My service provider says that unless the light remains on constantly, I cant get an internet connection.

    I have exactly the same problem as Cruyff14. The ZyXel P660 HW + G202. The wireless network Connection status alternates between Speed 54Mbps Signal Strength Excellent Status Acquiring network address to .... Not Connected. I have a wired broadband connection (different router) it was (and is) working fine but I wanted to change to a wireless connection in order to set up a home wireless network. I have un installed and reinstalled the software at least 6 times taking care to input the correct wireless key etc. WillieJoe89

    guys ftomISP step in with d-link router and show me that everything works ok (with teir router). but my zyxel does not work! have the very same problem

What do you mean to "remain solid"?
What model of your router and your ethernet adapter model?
Do you use wireless networking?

    you mean Flickers or flashing LED?



    If it's flashing it means that you got connected to the router and bc you were either uploading or downloading data through that router.

Diagnostic light keeps blinking


Check the LED lights that are blinking on the front of the DSL modem. Check the "Internet/Online" LED and make sure it is blinking green or a solid green. If this LED is not blinking, then the modem is not getting a phone signal, or the service is out. Remove the line and check it to make sure that you're getting a signal.
Check to see if filters are connected to the phone lines that are all around the house. These filters separate the phone line from the DSL line so that the lines do not crosswire and disturb the Internet connection or the phone connection. The DSL is usually shipped with a couple of phone filters. These phone filters can be purchased at many electronics stores or provided free from your Internet Service Provider.Check to see if the modem is connected to a wireless router. If the modem is connected to the router, try disconnecting the router and connect the modem straight to a computer. If the modem is also a multi-port wireless router, then connect the computer to a different port on that same router.Reset the router if the previous steps do not resolve the problem. Follow the initial set up instructions given to you when you first installed the router. Perform any firmware updates that might be needed once online, and use the discs that came with the modem.

I have a Zyxel Q1000z dsl router power light and DSL light on solid green however internet light is completely out not red or green or anything Qwest my service provider tested the line as good. I have...


If you have called your service provider and they have confirmed that the connection is good then there may be a problem with:

A- The router itself
B-The physical connection from the ISP's last access point to your router.

Your best bet would be to (if you haven't already) reset the router and wait AT LEAST 10-15 seconds before plugging it back in.

Another solution would be to go to the router configuration page and check the router logs to see when the problem first occurred, and what could be causing it.

My dlink dsl-2540u router not connect to the internet. Dsl led blinking & sometimes totaly off.


Contact your ISP immediately- the issue you have is called no sync. Basically with the DSL led going completely off- that would point to a bad modem, however the fact that you have no sync otherwise indicates your DSL provider may need to service your DSL line.

I tried to change my security to wep and it just stopped connecting so i reset the router and now there is no dsl wlan or internet light on just a power light


Let's guess. This is a DSL connection and you just reset the access to your internet account.

Find the paper or person who set the system up originally and start all over. Next time, have some sort of idea what you're doing BEFORE you press the reset button. You started with access to the router, and changing Wireless Security settings could have been undone if you went back into the box from a WIRED connection and turned off or altered the WEP code.

When I connect the DSL modem and the D-link router together and I have my main computer hooked up to the number 1slot then I power them on I see that the DLS modem connect to the internet I have all green...


Connect the DSL modem to the WAN port of the D-Link. It should be labelled or colored differently. You then connect your computer to ANY other jack on the D-Link.

Setup of d link dsl-2740b on my computer


the dsl connection is your broadband signal. check the router box. if the dsl light is off or flashing on the front, the setup will not work. this light needs to be solid. remove all devices from telephone sockets in your house, connect just one filter and your new router to it. check the dsl signal, if the light is solid green. the problem is with the physical setup in your house. If the dsl light still flashes contact your isp or broadband supplier.

No internet connection. I bought this embarq 660 on ebay and am trying to use it with another dsl provider. I got the router part to work with laptops just can;t connect to internet. please help


You can't just connect up a new router to some ISP's (internet service provider) and expect it to work. My ISP requires the MAC address of the router before it can access the internet. Call your ISP and tell them what your doing. The MAC address is the physical hardware address of your router (there is no other one the same in the world). The MAC address is on a sticker on the router and consist of 12 numbers and letters.

ZyXEL adsl wirless modem router P660HW


To bring up the blue screen you need to open internet explorer (or whatever) and type the ip address given. In my book it says 192.168.1.1 after that you should get the blue screen. You can set up the connection then.

Hi and help please :)


1.       Check the for the Physical connection Between the router and dsl  the  modem

2.       And make the sure the dsl light or the status is solid green in the dsl modem

3.       If the dsl light or link light is bilking on the dsl modem . call your service provided and run a line test to confirm if there is any problem with the telephone line
