This problem is either your power supply, the mother board or the processor, try using a different power supply first and see what happens. Take the processor out of the socket and take it to your local pc store and ask if they will test the processor for you, if all are ok then it is *********** board is at fault and will need to be replaced.

Put the new video card in, connect the monitor to it, boot in the BIOS and in there set the video card to Auto.

Only utilizes 3 of my 4 gigs of RAM

Don't be fooled. I have installed XP 64bit and windows XP still reports 3GB.

Compatiblity issue..

You may install up to 4GB of DDR RAM in this motherboard. It does not use DDR2.

This is from your manual:

Dual-channel DDR400 memory support
Employing the Double Data Rate (DDR) memory technology, the motherboard supports up to 4GB of system memory using DDR400/333/266 DIMMs.

You may see top the left corner Search by model please put the model number here
your model is P5P800-VM Then click the search button.. you may put your operating system then you find all for download thanks.

If not install even you have all latest driver for win Vista then then please reinstall vista and try.. make sure your computer is virus free....
