Question about HP Pavilion dv6000z Notebook
I need to swap the memory in a Medion MIM2120 laptop. Is it under the keyboard? If so how do I get the keyboard off, without breaking it!
Thanks for your help in advance
Remove the large panel (7 screws) on the base of the machine.
The memory is situated under a black flexible plastic cover about 75 x 30 mm - amost directly below the earphone and mousepad area.
Memory is held in position by clips at each side - press them outwards and memory card will pop-up.
A second card can be fitted below and slightly higher than the first.
I have just fitted IGb and will probably put in another (max 2GB), - cost about £15.
Hope this is of use.

MY MEDION MIM2120 LAPTOP KEYBOARD SUDDENLY STOP TO WORK WAT CAN I DO TO MAKE IT WORK AGAIN

this is a job if your confident and competant with pcs or computing in general.
medions are a work of art, in themselves.
you are correct in thinking the memory, is under the keyboard. you should have 2x ramslots located towards the centre of the laptop.
first remove the battery, as you want no-power in the machine at all, due to electrostatic discharge, which will damage the memory, and or mainboard.
Look carefully at the power panel, this needs to be removed before accessing the keyboard area. check the rear of the laptop, to see if there any screws mounted, at the top of the laptop base ( under screen Height ) if not. you carefully prise the control panel upwards, over the keyboard. take care not to damage any keys. i,d suggest work from centre outwards. until the power switch panel pops up out of it,s location. be careful not to lift too high, these are usually ribbon cable connected, but have enough room, to flip towards the screen.
you should then find 1 or 2 screws securing the keyboard.
same again ribbon cable connector. the keyboard should remove by sliding towards screen. tags into mousepad area.
replacement is in reverse sequence.
any problems, please ask.
