Question about Sony VPL-CX75 Multimedia Projector

Sanyo Z2000 No Display

Hi I have a new Sanyo PLV Z2000.
I can power up the unit and the light indicator is green with the buld on, but all i get is the input that I selected which is HDMI 1 that is all that appears on my screen. At this point none of the buttons on the remote or the unit self functions. It is as if the unit is frozen much like when a pc crashes and the keys do not respond, yet the unit is on. I can not get anything to work, and it does not detect any signal.
Please help, is there a safety lock that has been triggered for unit not to display?

lilq, I have the same exact problem. Just got the projector yesterday, turned it on tonight, and 10 minutes later...frozen. No matter what I do, the only button that works is the master switch in the back. Remote and on-board buttons don't work. Did you ever get a reply back from Sanyo??

    Thx!

Wow, just experiened this same problem today and that's why I'm on the internet looking for a solution! I'm able to turn the unit on with the remote, but once it's on, just display's hdmi 1. Bulb is on, fan is on, but can't use the remote or unit functions to operate...all buttons are inoperative...have to turn off from main switch in back of unit.

I sent my plv-z2000 projector to Sanyo in Chatsworth,California and they solved the problem by updating the software to a newer version: V102. Probably a fix that could have been solved by me, if the unit had a usb port on it!

what about the Projector Condition leds: POWER, WARNING and LAMP REPLACE? How are they lit? For good measure you should also clean the air filter (the projector might not be getting enough air to cool the lamp)

How difficult is it to replace power plug (and power board) in a Sanyo PLV-Z2000 projector?

I find it easy but then I have done it many times.
It is not too bad, be methodical and take photos of it as you strip it down. Makes life easy when rebuilding it.

I have a Sanyo PLV-Z2000 projector. The screen had a filter warning and we cleaned the filter, but now the screen is just blue and won't omit any image. It worked to reset the filter timer before, but...

the excessive heat and lack of airflow may have caused another problem. can you get into the menu? if you can, try resetting the settings to factory default.
