Generic problem for all Multimedia Projectors

Hi I have a new Sanyo PLV Z2000.
I can power up the unit and the light indicator is green with the buld on, but all i get is the input that I selected which is HDMI 1 that is all that appears on my screen. At this point none of the buttons on the remote or the unit self functions. It is as if the unit is frozen much like when a pc crashes and the keys do not respond, yet the unit is on. I can not get anything to work, and it does not detect any signal.
Please help, is there a safety lock that has been triggered for unit not to display?

lilq, I have the same exact problem. Just got the projector yesterday, turned it on tonight, and 10 minutes later...frozen. No matter what I do, the only button that works is the master switch in the back. Remote and on-board buttons don't work. Did you ever get a reply back from Sanyo??
