How do you watch free cable channels on a sony

Hi, I can't say I've ever seen that happen with that TV before so I'd say it definitely isn't common. I'm pretty sure it's the signal from the HD channels, I'd suggest talking to your cable service provider.

the channels are kept in skip mode, you must re-scan the channels like auto scan, it will solve you problem.

U must have a antena hook hookup where ur previous pay cable tv wire plug into.Go into ur tv menu.Go to SETUP,Go down to CH. enter pick AIR not CABLE enter for scan for free air DTV broscasting.After finish scanning u will able to watch free air DTV.

You would need a High Definition cable package. I for instance have Comcast cable with the premium package and High Definition cable box. Also as far as watching DVD's and getting the best picture would be an HDMI cable from player to set. Hope it helps!

This problem appears to be an issue with numerous Sony Bravia owners of the same model. Although still seeking a soulution, it would appear that our cable provider (Verizon) has replaced all of their components and the Geek Squad from Best Buy where we purchased the unit, points the finger at Verizon. None of our other Fios-equipped TV's exhibit this problem so I am glad we bought the service plan with the TV and will continue to seek a remedy.

Your cable company is telling the truth, you have digital cable. When auto scanned for digital channels the tv is lookig for OTR(over the air) signals. These are broadcast signals you will need an antenna to receive. Depending where you are and the type of antenna you use you probably could pick up some digital channels. try menu, then set up, make sure tuning band is set to cable if u have cable or air if your using antenna, then go to auto serch for channels

i have sony bravia. i couldn't connect to my ps3 with hdmi cable. but i get only audio. i think it is with the tv settings. can you help
