The clean trap is located on the drain pump. The following link explains how to access and check the pump:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r3574284-checking_the_drain_pump_on_a_front_loade

This is a very simple process. A wet/dry shop vac would come in handy of you have one, though. There's about a gallon of residual water that remains in the lower wash basket, drain lines and pump that will come spilling out of the pump unless you remove it beforehand. It could save you from having to clean up a mess.

If you have any questions, please let me know. I hope this helps you.

Where are the food traps and filters

Good Afternoon Friend,

I understand you want to know where the food traps and filters are located in your Frigidaire dishwasher, model# PLD2850. The inside of the dishwasher is self- cleaning with normal use. If needed, clean around the tub gasket area with a damp cloth. The filter is self- cleaning. A glass trap located in the center of the filter is designed to collect pieces of broken glass, straws, bones and pits. To remove items in glass trap, grasp handle, lift out, empty and replace. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your appliances status has changed successfully. Hope this is helpful.

-Best Regards-

Repair manual

Good Afternoon Brenda - Generally speaking, washer machines do not have a filter. Depending on your particular model the unit may have a coin trap. Below are some basic troubleshooting steps you may wish to follow to locate and clean the coin trap:
  • Unplug the unit.
  • Remove the bottom front access panel. There are two screws one on right and one on the left towards the bottom of the front panel.
  • Now that the panel is removed look inside on the bottom right hand side there is a black looking accordion thing. This is the coin trap.
  • Clean the drum out with as much water as possible that you can remove and have towels ready. The next step you will have the remaining water come out of the bottom of the drum and onto the floor.
  • At the top of the coin trap where it is attached to the drum is a silver spring with a silver screw. Loosen the screw and wiggle the coin trap down from the drum.
  • Reach inside the coin trap and clean what is inside of it out.
  • Put the unit back together following the same steps backwards.
Hope this information proves to be helpful!

1996 volvo 850 pcv valve location

These have a PCV oil trap, not a valve. It is located under the intake manifold. The hoses run from under the spark plug wire cover all the way down to the oil trap and over to the throttle body. Over time the PCV oil trap becomes brittle and clogged. You will need to buy a new PCV kit for around $150 and replace it. Before you do, you must clean out the engine block where it attaches at its lowest point on the engine. I used sea foam, compressed air, and a coat hanger. I did an oil change at the same time so I could drain the sea foam out of the oil pan. Make sure you clean it out good because it will spray oil out of the dipstick and oil filler cap even after replacing the PCV components.

Where is food trap located on Jenn-Air ?

Seems like every brand is different but generally speaking, the food trap is located under the main cleaning jet in the bottom of the tub. The part with the nozzles should just pull straight up and allow you to get at the food trap.

I can't locate the filter on my wmd940a to clean it

You are NOT going to like this. To access the debris trap/filter on this machine, you need to tip it on its back. The trap is UNDERNEATH the drum. A rubber hose comes from the drum to a rubber trap bout the suze of a cup, then on to the pump.

The cup device is held in place by a spring clip that you will need to compress with pliers.

Once the trap is off, you will find a hard plastic cup with a ping pong ball inside. Remove the ball, remove the cup, clean out and re-assemble.

ont you love hotpoint for making this so user unfriendly!!

Does not get dishes clean

There is a filter/trap located at the bottom of the machine held in place by 2 1/4 screws. This trap will be located at the lowest point in the dishwasher. Once the two screws are removed there is a lower tub that may have a bit of food debris in it. Sometimes there is food particles that do not get flushed out into the drain. Clean this area and you should be in good shape
