I am having trouble with the speakers making any sound when I hook the speakers into the Rear Panel (RL RR) of my computer but the speakers work if I use them in the headphone jack. The subwoofer works...

The main reason why the rear speakers are not working because the sound you are playing are not surround sound or a not a stereo sound and check the setting of your speaker. There is an output sound in your speaker but to low because of the set up of your speakers. Try to set it in Hall, Church, or any set up you will notice that there is difference with there volume in every set up.

Some speakers not working with your new souround sound system?

New 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound system?

1. Sounds easy enough, but its dark and hard to see sometimes behind your Pc. but make sure the cables are in the correct jacks.

2.Make sure u have a surround sound sound card. check on the internet product page of your pc.

3. Make sure the setting in control pannel>sound is set from stereo to 5.1 or 7.1 depending on what system u have and sound card capabilities.

4. If u have software that has a graphical interface that u can change settings for your sound card, u can change the stereo to 5.1 or 7.1

No audio or sound

I'll assume you mean you want audio from the TV to enter the unnamed 'rca dvd and souround system ' as that is where audio should all converge.

For this purpose you should have an RCA audio cable pair running from the FIXED AUDIO L and R outputs to any available input on the unnamed audio electronics. If you use(d) the VARIABLE AUDIO outputs the TV's volume control would affect the sound at the electronics end.

More than likely you need to go into your menu settings. Check to ensure that your TV speakers are enabled. The previous owners may had it hooked to theater system

Double check your TV settings and ensure that you have your audio set for internal and not external. The external setting would only be used if you have external speakers connected.

Sound comes out of the moniter but not my speakers they worked before but i messed with things i dont know about to try and get sims 3 working for my daughter

You probably have a single speaker jack on your computer. It sounds like you unplugged the wire to the speakers and plugged in the wire to your monitor.

Switch our tv to souround sound

Surround sound will come from the speakers from your surround system. So if you have it connected through HDMI 1 select that option from the source button on the remote control. If you have it connected through Scart 1 then select AV1 from the source button. It also best to turn the volume from the TV to minimum so that the sound only comes from the surround speakers.

Loud hissing through rear (souround sound) speakers

I have the Sony Bravia KDL-46S4100. The high-picthed hiss drives me insane. I have a work around but not a fix. Go into your TV's menu and find BACKLIGHT. Adjust it from 1-9 with the house quiet and find what frequency of the hiss is the least annoying.

Sony Bravia high pitch hiss hissing sound high frequency

Sourondsound hook up

Hey jessyqadir,

If your home theater system's speakers still aren't functioning, you may want to make sure that your TV is correctly set to an external speaker mode. This can typically be done by accessing your TV's audio menu and choosing an option titled "Sound Select" or something similar. Many TV's will have a variety of speaker configurations they are able to support by default, but must be correctly set in order for audio playback to be heard through external speakers.

Hope this helps you out.

Sincerely,
Aaron
