Why does my tv have one blue, one red and one green line at the top of the screen but no picture?

The CRT inside the TV has gone bad. You can either find the make and model of the CRT and replace it, or get rid of the tv and buy another one.

Mitsubishi VS-55609 distorted Picture Flickers

Projection TV sets are known to have two common problems. The first problem that is common to these sets is convergence failure. When this happens the TV will usually look 3D, Wavy/Distorted, etc. It may also shutdown and blink an error code.

The second common problem with Projection TV sets is dull video, halos around objects, white looking video, or red overpowers the screen. This is commonly caused by the fluid in the lens being clouded overs. To get fixed either call in a local TV repair company or goto sites such as Tv Repair Kits to get a repair kit with instructions. Here is there link.

They have put together complete kits for most models that include the parts, step by step photo instructions, repair assistance, etc.

Mitsubishi VS-55609 distorted Picture Flickers

This is a convergence problem and not really a DIY Many amateurs try it to save money but end up spending more on it than a professional. There are dozens on here that managed to fix it for a day or two only to have it fail again.

cost of fix about $300.

Panasonic PT-61G53W projection picture flickers and distorts

You said it is Distorting, If the distortion looks "3d" or separate red or green or blue images. You may have a bad solder connection on the convergence ic's they are located on a large heat sink the part number on the ic will begin with STK392- ??? there will be two of them and the pins will need re-soldered, or the part will have to be replaced. If you even just solder the pins it is a good idea to check and see if the heat sink compound has hardened it is a white grease between the heat sink and the component, if this has turned hard it needs replaced. If soldering does not fix the problem these ic's could still be bad, and need changed, but before i would do this i would tap on the chassis with the but of my screwdriver to see if the picture flickers. This being done with the set on and many dangerous voltages present. Soldering the chassis of course with the set unplugged.

I don't recommend doing this repair yourself because of the dangers involved with electrical shock even with the tv unplugged.
If you called a serviceman the repair might run around $300.00.

Mitsubishi VS-60609 60-Inch (Green Light Flicker)

Check the VU connector between the deflection and signal boards on the foil side for ring cracked connections... Pin 13 is blue and I think 12 is green... If cracked simply reflow some solder on each pin and re-assemble.
