this is an error message stating that. the usb device is faulty.
It has detected that the usb port has an error/fault or problem.
check that non of the pins are touching each other, or that dirt or dust isn,t inside the usb connection port. blow in it. or use a cotton bud to swab it out.

My computer dosent run my psp program with a usb cable so i can sync anything in, how do i make it recognize my psp

When you connect your PSP to your computer, it won't recognize the PSP immediately. After you connect the PSP, you will have to navigate to USB Mode on the XMB. Your computer will recognize your PSP as a mass storage device.
Good Luck.

Dont kno how to put music and videos in my psp

Putting music or videos on the PSP is a fairly simple and straightforward process.

What you'll need:
  • a mini USB to USB cable (to connect the PSP to the computer)
  • a memory stick (to store your music and videos)
  1. Put the memory stick in the PSP.
  2. Connect the PSP with the mini USB to USB cable to the computer
  3. On the PSP, go to the settings menu and select "USB Connection."
  4. Your computer should recognize that a device has been connected to it, open up the device (your PSP) inside a file viewer, such as windows explorer. There should be a few folders here one named Video and one named Music.
  5. Add the music and video files to these folders, and press O(circle) on the PSP to end the USB Connection.
  6. If all has gone right, and the files are the correct formats, you should be able to enjoy your music and videos on your PSP.

Zune Player

Hold down the back and up buttons on your Zune until the screen goes black. You should see your Zune reset. If you have your Zune connected to your PC during this, you will see that Windows will immediately recognize the device.

Can't restore data after linux install

In my case the problem was that the USB device did not re-mount after the PS3 restarted. Try this:

Start the backup restore process.
Remove the USB device sometime after the PS3 starts formatting
Once the PS3 has restarted, re-attach the USB device.
Wait for a while to allow the device to mount (about 15-30 seconds) before pressing the PS button to continue!

PSP Troubles - unknown device

This is what you should do;

1. Restore your psp to factory setting.

2. If this does not solve the problem, then i guess you'll have to change the psp battery.

This should resolve the problem that you are facing with the psp right now.

Good Luck.

USB fails to recognize my PSP

what are you trying to do? connect it to the computer?

if so try a new usb cable. if that dont work look inside the female ubs jack on the psp make sure all the pins are there. see if it wiggles any.

you might need to replace the ubs port on your psp. which is a soldering job.

Mp3 pen drive not working with any pc

a solution to this problem depends on the type of 'pen drive' or USB you are using, the first major problem is simply that it can be broken, the other is a USB connector damage look into the rectangle slit of the pen drive to see if there is any damage there like dust, bent pin etc. i rule out computer driver errors because you said it occured on several computers if there is no apparent damage to the device and it is not broken try using it on a computer in 'safe mode' if all fails try utilizing the software that came with the device eg: apple ipod systems where one can reload "factory settings" good luch, john MSCI
