Well if you know how to get into your 'Hardware Device Manager' and see if this specific Web Cam has a yellow question mark over it's icon. My thoughts is to go to Sony's web site and find your PC's driver download page and grab the Web Cam driver and reinstall it. Blessings, A/V Media Guy
see if it is a driver problem or hardware problem first. first try and see if u uninstall the driver and reboot does the system detect it again? if not goto nearest vaio service center and get it fixed for free if u hav warranty . i did
