Empties water out

My quickwash keeps emptying water out. after it has done this it stops sucking up water. i have taken it apart and messed with the valve which is operated by the handle mechanism. when its put back together the machine does work again for 2/3 washes but then the same thing happens. can any of you wiz/gurus help.

Thanks for replying. The switch appears to be doing everything required of it. The machine is just out of warranty (15months).

The switch is most likely bad. How old is the machine?

Can not get my steam vac to suck up water everything else works.done half floor empty water to do other half of floor and it just stopped sucking up water

  • There a twist lever on the side to change from floor to tools. If "everything else works" then you have it on tools. Twist it back to floor and it will work.

I had the same problem. It looks like the seal on the lid on the bottom of the cylinder has fallen out when it was emptied. There is no longer a proper vacuum being created so you don't get the cyclone effect and the dirt doesn't collect where its supposed to. it just clogs up the filter. I put sellotape to seal the lid and it works fine.

My steam vac stopped sucking the water up

make sure the lid on the dirty water container is on tight and the tank itself is locked into place, also check to make sure the clear window in the front of the machine is tightened down firmly

My fantom vacuum stopped sucking stuff up

Most likely there is a clog, either in the 'knuckle' between the power head and the wand, or in the connection where the hose comes into the canister. In either case, unplug the hose and you should plainly see it.

I'm not sure if this will help but I had the same problem and was about ready to pull my hair out. I ended up taking the fill tank off and if you look inside where the red overflow flap is you will find a small screened opening. I found that mine was pretty clogged up with debris but once I removed the mess and put my machine back together it is now sucking like a champ. I hope this helps. Here's hoping that you don't have the pay for a service person to look at it.

Within an Hour my SpotBot stopped working

Some of that water must have gotten inside amd shorted something. If this is less then 1 year, it would be under warranty. It iwll have to be taken apart and checked.
