It seems that the Windows wireless utility is active on your computer. Try to open the Wireless Network Connection properties on your computer. (Start > Control Panel > Network Connections > Internet Connections > right click on the Wireless Connection > choose properties ) There should be a Wireless Networks Tab. Un-check the option that says use Windows to configure the wireless connection. That should allow you to use your Intel wifi-Radio. But personnally, I would prefer to use the Windows wireless manager that any other wireless utilities.

No wireless connection on acer one notebook

1. Try unplugging the wireless router for 30 seconds and plugging it back in.

or

2. If that does not resolve the issue go to My Network Places, Right Click, Properties ... on the icon that represents the wireless connection, right click, select Disable, once the device is disabled, right click again and Enable.

The second set of instructions are assuming you have Windows XP

you might have to review the driver version of your wireless. try to check if there are updates that might fixed the bug. go to my computer, right click, manage, device manager, network adapters - under it move your mouse on top of the wireless, right click, properties, driver and check driver version and date. then go to your hp pavilion product support http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/ProductList.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=321957&prodSeriesId=432999&taskId=135
and look for new version of network wireless driver might have. let me know if this doesnt fix the problem.

Do the Basics First;
  1. Make sure you turn it on or switch it on
  2. Reboot your PC
  3. Make sure your router is set to broadcast your SSID
  4. Right click your wireless connection and select "repair"
If still doesnt work;

  1. Select and double click your wireless connection
  2. Click on properties
  3. In the middle of the box find, select and highlight Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)
  4. Click on Properties
  5. Make sure "Obtain IP address automatically" and "Obtain DNS server address automatically" are the only ones selected
  6. Click on the "Wireless Network" tab
  7. On "Preferred networks" make sure your wireless is there ( your SSID) if not Add it, move it up or remove the others
  8. Once its added highlight it and click the "Advanced" button and make sure to select "Access point (infrastructure) networks only
  9. Make sure this is NOT checked "Automatically connect to non-preferred networks" then click "Close"
  10. Highlight again and this time click "Properties"button
  11. Check "Connect even if this network is not broadcasting"
  12. Check authentication configuration

Lost wireless capability

You need first to check if the wireless adapter is installed properly, Ricght click My computer>Properties>Hardware tab>Device manager>look for network adapter and check if the wireless adapter is listed if its there right click on it and go to properties and check the device status..

If the adapter is not showing under network adapter look for anything that says Unknown or other device and you that's where you can find a improper installed device you just need to install the driver for that.

Hope that helps........

My laptop pad is very senative how do i ajust this?

there doesnt seem to be a setting in the synaptics touchpad menu for this so you will have to reset the touch pad, go to my computer>properties>hardware tab>device manager and go down list to mice and other pointing devices. Click on it and you should see synaptics touchpad, right click,and select uninstal. Restart laptop and the driver will re install synaptics driver and set it back to default.
