Question about Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX7 Digital Camera
When I swithc the camera on it does a few whirs and clicks then comes up with the "blue screen of death" on the display. The lens are also extended and stuck in position and when these try to move under power the above fault comes on.
Youa are able to view the pictures on tehcard so I guess it is the lens operating mechanism that is faulty.
If you can’t get the manufacturer to fix it you may want to fix it yourself. I found a guy in South Carolina who sells good used parts. I bought a LCD from him for $39.00, fixed it myself and it works great. I think his email is email@example.com

Yes,operating mechanism faulty..or internal flexable pcb broken this is a repareable.

Camera of this type are generally considered-'consumable'
Like small electronic or computer parts repairs are not economic or 'spares' provided
but- contact the maker support site for confirmation
