This is usually caused by the back PCB failing on the CD mechanism. They should be available as spares.
Consult a local service agent.

When I play a CD I get a buzzing sound. The sound starts as soon as I hit the play button (and before the CD is actually moving.) It gets louder once the CD starts playing. The sound is coming through...

Buzzing is usally AC line noise leaking into an un-shielded cable somewhere or a floating ground. If the AC plug is reversible, try that. Sometimes the buzz is from an attached device. Make sure all audio cables are plugged in tightly at each end and routed away from or at right angles to any power cords and away from other sources of strong magnetic fields like TV's. I've also seen variable track lights induce noise but it's usually minor.

I can not hear anything accept for buzzing on the spaekers wether I am trying to play radio, tape, cd or nothing at all.

Hello Sir, hi, the buzzing sound is a sign of an amplifier IC failure, this IC amp needs to be replaced. (this requires finding the spare part and soldering and desoldering that part, so a tech person is needed) have it serviced by an electronics tech guy.

Problem with JVC stereo shelf system

It could be many things but if you put the disc in and you can hear the noise it makes while its scanning the disc then its probably the laser is mis-aligned. If you cannot hear any noise at all and it comes up with error after a while then it could be the entire laser unit needs replacing. Good luck.

CD Stabilizer

Here's the user manual which may help some folks:
http://pdf.crse.com/manuals/3860292141.pdf

Got my unit at a yard sale for 5 bucks. What a great sound!!!

The note on the CD lid referred to a stabiliser, but there wasn't one. The CD started skipping and making a whining noise.

Eventually found the manual and saw that the stabiliser was just a capto weigh the disc down so I put another CD on top of the one I wasplaying to add a little weight and it seems to be playing well. GoodLuck to you all.

Buzzing noise

I had the same problem with mine and the fix for it was to replace the Q401 transistor on the main board. I used a NTE382
replacement and has worked fine ever since.
Hope this helps

Buzzing noise

Of course it will stop buzzing when you mute the speakers. From the limited description, it could be anything from a power supply to loose wires in the system between the speaker leads and the motherboard. Best bet is to take it in to a technician and get a pro's answer. If he wants to charge more than what it's worth to you, get a new one.

Rear Speaker problems

The delay is normal as it's designed to create a spacious large room sound. The buzz however, is not. It sounds like the power supply is bleeding into the amp and should be serviced.
