I have been doing a little research on this issue and just spoke to a repair guy who said that Panasonic has extended the warranty on at least my 61" LCD to 3 years past purchase date. You will need proof of purchase date to get this reopaired as a warranty item. I would call an authorized repair place that is noted on the panasonic website to see if this applys to your tv.

It sounds like the light engine. Call Panasonic, and see if they can help you.

Hi What is aprm never herd of this, and didn't know you needed upgrage for the eprom, never used it and don't think this would be your problem, As per source, the main problem in this set's or bad fan's engine, ballace, lamp. When the lamp burn's make shure that all 4 or working 100%, and I would sudjest stronly to change d1315 part #B2ZAZ0000020 and c1339 part #FoCAH104A001 only if you have lamp problem.
Meanwhile, your problem is related to the engine, or lcd block. ree the schematic way at the end were the diagram show's the parts discribtion, I hope this help's. http://service.panasonic.ca/pdp/ServiceManuals/pt44-52-61-lcx65k-sm.pdf and don't give this to anyone, please there think there tech after this.

You will need to call a Panasonice authorized service center for th software upgrade. This is different that normal upgrades because you have to have a proprietary tool (box) from Panasonic to do this.

The colored spots may be a light engine issue that Panasonic will pay for repair costs even though tv is few years old. Contact Panasonic. . No you can't reset the lamp timer without a remote.

Pt-52lcx65 52 in.

call panasonic customer service....open a claim....problem is most likely that the eprom needs to be reflashed.....i contacted them several weeks ago, told them my problem which was 5 baseball sized colored spots, 1 red, 2 blue and 2 green. they had me perform a couple of tests using a dvd. when i reported the results they set up a service call with a local authorized repair shop. results were amazing. reflashing the eprom took about 4-6 minutes. in addition my brilliant color returned to the set as well as another problem of neon images going away. this was paid for by panasonic. my set was 2 years over warranty. panasonic has issued a service bulletin on this and are backing up these units.
pt-61lcx35
hope this helps, i am quite satisfied with what was done.

Light green and pink spots on my hd tv!!!

Hi--Bought my panasonic pt-52lcx65 on sale for $2200 in 8/05. Replaced the lamp for about $300 in 1/08, just prior to Superbowl. Admittedly, this was to be expected after family members watched lots of tv over 30 months. However, two months later the blue spot emerged in 3/08, and red spot emerged 5/08. Set looks decorated by a Andy Warhol or Van Gogh wannabe. I'm looking for a fix it solution. Dr. Bob Heiliger, Lebanon, OH.
