In GSM & CDMA seeting option you have to do the right selection. For e.g. In Slot 2, you have to select CDMA. & in Slot 1 GSM. Then it will work.

The message the phone is displaying is completely normal, Your carrier is most likely verizon so it is a CDMA network. Meaning your phone needs to be programmed for the first time with the proper MDN (mobile directory number) and the MSID. These numbers enable the phone to connect to the network to make and recieve calls. Every phone for a CDMA network will display this message before it recieves its initial programming with these two numbers.
