Question about Canon PIXMA iP4300 InkJet Photo Printer
I have a Canon IP4300 and new black cartridges however, when i print in black the printer seems to be printing but the when it finish the paper has nothing on it. I can print in color without a problem but not in black.
I had the same problem. Too early to know whether this will help in the long run, but I can print in black if I select manual instead of automatic. The print quality is fine which would suggest there is nothing wrong with the head.

Go to the Canon dowloads website and get the driver for you OS. Re-installing it fixed this problem for me. The changing to Photo resolution then trying a print works to prove the cartridge is fine but the permanent solution is to reinstall the drivers.
