Question about InFocus X1 Multimedia Projector
I have the abovementioned Projector. All of a sudden yesterday I turned the Projector on as normal and then about 20 seconds later the picture was gone and a red light has been flashing since.
I have tried turning it off at the power point and back on again and the same thing keeps happening.
Could you please offer some advice as to how to fix the Projector or what may be faulty?
How many hours had it done? The bulb may have expired and as a safety precaution the projector will not switch on, otherwise the bulb will explode causeing further damage.

Was it mounted on the ceiling? There is a power supply/ballast board inside that goes bad. I have seen some where the board is actually burned on the other side from where the ballasts are. Chances are the bulb is fine but the ballasts failed. Other symptoms are dim or flickering picture with low hours on the bulb. This is a well know problem with these projectors but infocus wont do anything about it.
