Get a new one if you suspect its bad. Check that you have the drivers installed, try reseating it in the slot and check all your windows settings also. And that the speakers are plugged in right, theres little symbols on the back that say if its an audio out, or in connector.

Remote not working

more info required.. do the lights come on at all, if so - synch the wiimote with the wii console while on the WARNING screen(press the red button on the wiimote & the red button near the SD card slot on the console.
If no lights come on the wiimote - you either need new batteries or you may have damaged the wiimote by dropping liquid on it or somethiing similar...sometimes cleaning the wiimote PC board with alcohol swaps may fix that, but it is not a task for a novice (you sound like a novice, so I advise against it).. Opening the wiimote and putting it back together again is not easy for a novice to get right without proper instruction.. My advice - search for videos of how to achieve this.
If none of the above work - you probably only have 2 options left..
1. send it for repair (costs almost the same as the price of a new wiimote)
2. buy a new wiimote
~Good luck

Your best bet is to go to the computer manufacturer website and search for the sound card driver since that is actually a very generic sound card driver. The computer manufacturer will have the correct soundcard driver for you though.

Make my Compaq Presario Laptop Wi-Fi.

If the wireless card is about the size of a thick credit card then it is a PCMCIA card device. This card plugs into the PCMCIA slot on either the LH side or the RH side of the laptop. You need to install the wireless card driver on the laptop and configure it to communicate with your wireless router which is connected to your Internet Service Provider. This wireless card can also connect to the Internet on free WiFi sites. As you are a novice, you will need a computer savy friend to help you or your friendly computer shop.

It sounds like Windows might be loading a bad driver for your main PCI (assuming it's PCI) slot. Try plugging your monitor into the motherboard instead of the video card. Try re-installing your graphics card driver to the latest version, you can download these drivers through the company's website and looking for your video card's model. After re-installing the drivers, shut down your computer. Put your videocard in it's main slot and plug the monitor to it. This should do the trick.

How can i get the sound back on my laptop it was ok on the old windowsXP pro,but i had to get a genuine windows advantage kit to be legal, now cd and dvd with no sound the laptop is a TOSHIBA sat pro A30...

The sound is not working because your system needs some sound driver files. This is basically some files that help your computer software communicate with the hardware.

i believe you have a toshiba sat pro A300. (DO NOT INSTALL IF YOU HAVE A300D )

Possible sound card problem?!

To the best of my knowledge this could be a sound card driver problem. Try updating your sound driver. If that doesn't work uninstall the driver and get the updated version on the net.

If your not sure how to do this come back and let me know.
