Question about Computers & Internet
I bought a used Palm treo and had to get a new charger for it, so I ordered a wall charger, car charger and usb cable from ebay. The treo was totally dead until I plugged it in with the wall charger. Now, I can get it to come on for only about 30 seconds, then it does a count down and shuts off. The light on the charger comes on, but not on the treo (red or green). It says that it is charging, but the battery shows 0%. Any way I can check to see if the battery is no good? Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
My problem is quite similar. My 700wx won`t charge so I use my Treo 650 to charge my battery. I performed a hard reset and it charged once then quit. I tried another hard reset and it didn`t work. I hope this helped!
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.
click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Have you activated phone yet? When phone is activated and in service it flashes green. It's hard to believe it would flash green without a SIM card, as there is no service...unless AT&T is providing emergency service only and you're getting a flashing green which means you're in range of their towers.

SOURCE: Palm treo 700 wx won't charge
Verizon 700wx:I had the same problem. With little or no movement, the phone would go from charging to not over and over. At home with it perfectly still it would charge maybe 1/4 in 6 hours. Same problem with 3 different chargers. With the battery out, I dipped a Q-tip in rubbing alcohol squeeze out excess and jammed it into the charging port on the phone. Put the battery back in and oh **** nothing. Took it back out and let it dry for a few minutes and were back in business. No more charging problems at all.
May be a little risky, but warranty was up and what did I have to lose. Anyway good luck!
